I am pleased to announce the
formation and incorporation of the USA base nonprofit corporation: NASHWA YOUTH
DEVELOPMENT INC. (NYDI). The Nashwa Youth Development Inc. is a corporation
that was designed and was established to prepare the community's youths to be
respectable, accountable and responsible adults; as well as, to help our youths
navigate the treacherous transitional phase from youth into adulthood.
The purpose of Nashwa Youth
Development Inc. is to equip the youths with the critical but neglected tools
that are needed (social and other skills) to accomplish our goals and facilitate
the community's desires to have youth become model adult citizens. NYDI will
facilitate this though our well thought out and comprehensive outlined
programs.
The 501 (c) 3 (tax exempt), Corporation
was established by Mr. Allan H. Palmer a Vincentian national who now resides in
the USA. Mr. Palmer a father of four; is known for developing the noted
HIV/AIDS program: Fighting Aids through Conscious Education (F.A.C.E.). FACE
was reviewed by and received rousing credit from notes educator, Historian and
columnist Dr. Adrian Frasier as well as renowned Emergency specialist Dr.
Simone Keizer who also give the program wonderful reviews. The program was
launched and partially implemented at the Her Majesty's Prison in Kingstown,
St. Vincent and the Grenadines.
Mr. Allan Palmer also collaborated
with Mrs. Janice Frasier (CEO) of and the Vinsave Child development center to
reach at risk youths who resides in the capital Kingstown in St. Vincent and
the Grenadines; they did this through another of Palmer’s program 'Read and
Have Fun. Palmer also designed and for several years implemented the popular
summer program: The Adventurers Hiking Summer Program. with this program Mr.
Palmer teamed up with noted radio personality and talk show host Mr. Bernard
Joseph and First FM. First FM, Joseph, Palmer and the adventurers hiking
program collaboration were the first to carry a live broadcast from the Island
active Volcano: La Soufriere Volcano which is the Island's highest peak; which
is just less than five thousand (5000) feet above sea level and is located in
the remote interior of the mountainous island.
It is Mr. Palmer desire to
establish one such corporation in his native home St. Vincent and the
Grenadines as soon as possible so the Vincentian community especially, the
youths can also benefit from what this corporation have to offer.
It is important that the community
know that Nashwa Youth Development Inc. is not a program that is design to
facilitate the ego of any of the officers, but will be solely concern with the
welfare of the youths and their overall development within the confines and scope of the program.
